Meet Our Team
Our team of experts bring over 50 years of experience helping new families.
How do each of our experts support families through birth and postpartum?
Working with a doula throughout your birth can decrease your chance of a C-Section by 50%, length of labor by 25%, Studies have shown that doulas also help reduce a mom's anxiety, increase positive partner involvement and support, and improve mother-baby bonding post-birth. We can not provide in-person doula services at this juncture but we can provide a consult with a doulas to help you with your birth plan, your postpartum plan, to help you process your birth experience, or help you learn ways your partner can help you during labor and beyond. Having a C-section? Talk to the doulas about your recovery plan and what choices you can make. Planning to use an epidural? No problem, the doulas can help you know what your options are so you feel empowered through your birth. Companions to all kinds of birthing experiences, our doulas are your advocates, specially trained to get you closer to your ideal birthing experience using evidence-based tools and can be an integral part of your postpartum support team.
Our licensed therapist specializes in postpartum, relationship, back to work preparation, and parenting changes. Her goal is to be a sounding board as you work your way through this transition and giving you the tools you need to heal, grow, and progress is your mental acuity.
Get lactation advice and breastfeeding assistance exactly when you need it. Our Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) will discuss your specific concerns whether it be latching, milk supply, pumping, syringe-feeding, milk storage, going back to work strategies, breastfeeding benefits for mom and baby, supplementing, formula feeding, nipple shields, weaning, tandem nursing, product recommendations and more. Our IBCLC will support, guide, and teach you what you need to know in order to have a positive baby feeding experience, or guide you to further resources if medically necessary. She can cover a lot in a one hour virtual appointment, equipping you and baby with tools that last a lifetime.
Our Nutritional Therapy Practitioner can help guide you to fuel your body and get your health on track for the phase of motherhood you are in. Whether you want to optimize fertility, pregnancy nutrition, your baby's health, postpartum recovery, re-balancing hormones and/or generally just feeling good in your body, she will help you find ways to make positive changes in your pantry and home that will lead to lasting results.
Part of the rite of passage of new parenthood is some sleep deprivation to take care of your little human. That said, our Birth Halo sleep consultant uses the most up to date research and has helped dozens of families teach their child sleep skills and foundations of good sleep they can take with them into adulthood. This sleep package provides more than almost all competitors out there. It includes 4 eBooks, a personalized sleep plan and follow up support. Starting from sleep tips for newborns and (after 16 weeks) ending with a full personally customized sleep plan with an email follow up. A study published in Pediatrics (2015) found that "graduated extinction” and “bedtime fading” (two common methods of sleep training) had no adverse effects on the stress response of infants, and no effects on parent-child attachment. These sleep plans are gentle, pediatrician endorsed, and baby-led, and will give you a restful postpartum year by teaching your baby the skill of sleep.
Yoga is very beneficial to take you through prenatal and birth preparation as well as postnatal recovery. Our instructors focus on pelvic alignment in preparation for birth, strengthening pelvic muscles pre and post birth, mindfulness for good sleep, labor prep, mantra and breathing exercises, and opening and strengthening your body through the transitions of parenthood. You can buy yoga classes a-la-carte or through a package of 5 classes. The five classes are virtual live teacher led classes. A package purchase also includes unlimited access to a bank of 6 pre-recorded videos, with more classes added monthly. The videos include: baby massage, pre and postnatal yoga, and vinyasa flows.
Our experienced yoga teachers, with over 700 hours of training each under their belts and over a decade of teaching experience, will help you apply the benefits of yoga to both help you prepare your mind and body for birth, and also bond with your baby and new body after birth. You will be guided through your prenatal and postnatal experience with a mixture of prerecorded and online, live classes. A traditional prenatal yoga class will include spinal warm ups, a slow flow to get the blood moving focusing on safe exercises that build strength as well as open the body for birth. Using our breath to help train our bodies to open and find stillness and connection to the babies. Postnatal classes will include baby massage as well as strength restoration for the parent. We welcome taking time to attend to your baby as needed.
The goal of physical therapy during pregnancy and postpartum periods is to address spinal and pelvic joint dysfunction, instruct in exercises to address muscle weakness and imbalance, strengthen your pelvic floor, correct any diastasis rectic as well as provide guidance and instruction related to modification of ADLs that may be difficult during these phases of life.
Too much going on to prepare nutritious meals? Our recipe meal plans eliminate the mental burden and even includes a grocery list for each week. With each meal plan purchase you receive 4 downloadable and printable meal plans outlined for the week for four weeks. Each download includes three meals, one snack, and one grocery list, equaling 16-20 specific recipes for your phase per plan.
In partnership with our Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, our recipe developer has created over 6 packed meal plans with hundreds of recipes. She has a Fertility meal plan, 1st Trimester meal plan, 2nd Trimester meal plan, 3rd Trimester meal plan, Postpartum meal plan, and Freeze Ahead meal eBook. She derives inspiration from ancient nutrition, cultures around the world, and ancient foods and herbs proven to support mom and baby during and after birth. These recipes are made with your phase in mind, with a nutritionist note detailing the why behind each ingredient. Kellie is famous in her community for bringing people together over good food and flavor, and is excited to share her carefully curated recipes with you.
