Their Story
Sami is a postpartum, new baby, and delivery nurse in Southern California and has a national certification in Maternal and Newborn Health. She also teaches Obstetrics as an instructor at a university campus. She has seen gaps in information, knowledge, and care firsthand for many new parents in different hospitals. When she was ready to do something about it, she reached out to Kristen, a mom of three, who worked in international development, women’s empowerment programs, and most recently as a postpartum doula. They both created these cards with the collaboration of other experts in the birthing space: OBs, Midwives, Pediatricians, Physical Therapists, Chiropractors, Reiki Practitioners, Therapists, Doulas, Nutritional Therapy Practitioners, and many RNS.
