The Founders' Promise
Parenthood is evolving and we believe it’s about time support for new parents caught up. We have built a new type of resource that supports today’s parents, connecting a parent's intuition with education, experts, and instant help.
Birth Halo is built from wisdom from ancestors of women before us, evidence-based science, degrees and expertise, and personal experiences from it's founders, OBGYNs, Doulas, Midwives, and the families they've helped and interviewed worldwide. We are a team of medical experts, birth workers, and creators who are also parents striving to do our best in a way that works for each of our unique needs and circumstances.
We promise to bring peace of mind to parenting by shifting the scrutiny of parental choices to guiding you to the latest information, incorporate what resonates, and then trust your instincts. We believe that through education you can be empowered, knowing options that will help you determine what is best for you and your family. We believe by surrounding you with easy access to key experts to your recovery, your mind, body, and baby will thrive. Our Founding Story

July 2009
Sami & Kristen met in Uganda
Doing international development work, Sami & Kristen met and bonded over a mugging where they both fought to protect the other. Everyone was okay, and the rest is history.

2009-2019
Schooling and International Women Empowerment
While Sami went on to become a nurse, conduct research, and work with women, Kristen focused on creating social enterprises and businesses: lifting women while living and traveling around the world with her family.

May 2020
Birth Halo began
While 3 months postpartum and returning to work on the frontlines during the pandemic working with low income moms and babies, Sami witnessed that the already lacking postpartum care in America was impacting families even moreso. Parents needed help. She reached out to Kristen with the idea.

Started helping families
Birth Halo launched and continues to help families with their conception, birth, and postpartum journeys.

Birth Halo connects parents to experts whenever they need them. We curate services that holistically support new parents as they find their footing and learn to nurture their new babies.
